Kathryn R. Lyons

Kathryn R. Lyons, 73, of Peoria passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday October 29, 2013 at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria. She was born in Peoria on October 8, 1940 the daughter of Theodore L and Kathryn V Murphy Hornsby Sr. She married Richard Lyons in Peoria on September 3, 1960. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2012 in Peoria. Kathryn is survived by two sons, Richard of Peoria and Jeffrey of Peoria Heights; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Janice (Paul) Hartzell of Washington; one brother, Ted (Sue) Hornsby Jr. of Davenport; a special niece, Julie (Jim) Selman of Washington; Kathryn will be truely missed by her furry friends, Boo and Micah. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Kathryn was of the Christian faith. Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday November 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Pastor Dick Hanson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
