June Deevers Horton, 96, of Peoria passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Apostolic Christian Skylines.

She was born on June 22, 1927 in St. Louis, MO to Homer and May (Stevens) Deevers. She married William Horton on March 27, 1947 and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1982.

June is survived by her three daughters, Holly Horton of Algonquin, Peggy (Mike) Hieber of Dunlap and Amy Rakow of Charleston, IL; four grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Neighborhood House, TAPS or Northminster Presbyterian Church.
