She was born on June 8, 1977, in Worthington, OH to Lynn D. and Dan R. Hutchcraft. She lived most of her life in Peoria. At the time of her death she lived with James Stack, her loving groom and caregiver. She is survived by her mother, Lynn; Jim; and her children, Joey Shannon and Lilly Hutchcraft Stack. Julie graduated from Richwoods High School in 1995. She took additional courses at Illinois State University and Illinois Central College. She completed counseling classes at The Crisis Center in Peoria. She then worked to help people in crisis.
Julie loved her mother, and friend Bob Gaubas; her grandparents; her children; Jim; her uncle, Tom Ryan and his wife Anita, her cousins, Tom Jr., and Leora; friends, Cindy and Depak; and other friends and relatives.
She also loved animals, especially her five cats. She enjoyed reading and traveling. She loved Handel's Messiah, gospel music, big band music and dancing with Jim. She wanted to learn to dance the Jitterbug. Julie fought bravely with multiple bouts of cancer in her life. Jim helped on a daily basis.
They want to thank all who answered the call to support her in prayer, time, and materials. Many blessings to those who made her last days as comfortable as possible. Though she passed early in life she will be remembered as a warrior against that disease. As we grieve her loss, Julie would have us keep her in our hearts. She will remain there forever. She has finished life's race and now enjoys the peace, perfection, and eternal life with Jesus.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate and to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
