John "Jack" Richard Aylward

Jack was born on October 20, 1951 in Peoria to Jack and Geraldine (Malone) Aylward.

He is survived by his companion of 23 years, Janet Delk. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy.

Jack retired in 2000 from Rohn Industries after 30 years. Jack’s true passion was being a firefighter. He served with both the Limestone and West Peoria Fire Departments and after his retirement he dedicated himself to serving with the fire department. He received recognition for Fire Fighter of the Year for both the Limestone and West Peoria Departments. Jack was also quick-witted and a big animal lover.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11am at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation with honor guard will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria. Memorials may be made to the West Peoria Fire Department or TAPS. Online condolences may be made through www.davison-fulton.com
