John Fredrich Heschong

John was born May 21, 1918 in Peoria, the son of John and Ida Wichman Heschong . He married Anna Madolin Stodgel in La Rose, IL, on May 29, 1948. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2008 in Peoria.

He is survived by two daughters, Jill (Donald) Bell of Peoria, and Diana Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO; one grandson, Joshua Bell; and three granddaughters, Jessica Bell, Carrie Anderson, and Christine Anderson; and four great-grandchildren.

John was also preceded in death by his parents, and twin daughters, Carole, and Maryl Jane, and one sister Betty Gfrerer.

He was an elder and lifetime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. after 45 years of service in 1983.

John was a member of Schiller Masonic Lodge #335 A.F. and was an Army Veteran serving in World War II.

Funeral service will be at 11: 00 a.m. on Saturday November 2, 2013 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Dr. Robert Bardeen will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and one-half hour before services at the church.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
