John Ray Alley

John R. Alley, 78, of Peoria, Illinois passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria. John was born in St. Clair County on April 10, 1945, the son of Harold R. and Luella D. (Hackman) Alley. He was preceded in death by his parents.

John grew up in Peoria graduating from Richwoods High School and went on to graduate from Western Illinois University. He also served in the U.S. Army.

John’s first job was with the Federal Reserve and he later became a member of the Chicago Board of Trade. John’s passion was analyzing and predicting financial market trends and offering others insightful market advice. He had a philanthropic heart which will benefit others in years to come.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Hillside Village, 6901 N. Galena Road, Peoria, IL 61614.
