She was born on October 23, 1946, in Peoria to Chris M. and Margaret E. Hofbauer Frank of Tremont. She married William A. Scholl on September 10, 1967.
Surviving are her husband, William A. Scholl; two daughters, Janelle (Scott) Dies of Eureka; and Jolyne (Brendan) Kaar of Edwards; four grandchildren, Gavin Dies, Nichole Dies, Micah Kaar, and Isaiah Kaar; and one sister, Carole (David) Barnard of Tremont.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marvin Frank and Mahlon Frank.
Joanne was a member of the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church and worked as a surgical nurse for Dr. Richard Corley for 40 years. She retired in July 2016. Joanne was a devoted wife and had endless love for her children and grandchildren. She also had great love for her savior, Jesus Christ. She showed her faith by serving others.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. A funeral service will be at 10 am on Thursday, September 8, 2022, with visitation from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church.The church ministers will officiate. Burial will be at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Edwards. Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria will be handling the arrangements.
