JoAnne M. Arendell,80, of Lakewood, CO, formerly of Peoria, passed away at2:40am, May 26, 2012 at Exempla LutheranMedical Center inWheat Ridge,CO. She wasborn onJuly 28, 1931in Peoria, ILto George E. and Carrie M. (Binkele) Heintz. She marriedJohn F. Arendell on June 12, 1949 inPeoria, IL. He preceded her indeath in 2001 in Peoria. Her parents, onestep-brother,BarryW. Sornberger andherstep-father,William W. Sornbergeralso preceded her in death. Survivingareher three children, StephenJ. (Marie) Arendellof Morton, Douglas B. Arendell of Denver, CO and Linda J.Motteler ofGolden,CO. Also surviving aresix granddaughters, one grandson, nine great-grandchildrenand several nieces and nephews. JoAnne worked as aSwitch Board Operator with Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for several years and then as aDental Assistant with Dr. John C. Mitchell until retiring. She wasa memberEpsilon Sigma Alpha International and First United Methodist Church inPeoria. A funeral willbe at 11:00 am, Friday, June 1, 2012, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland chapel inPeoria.
