She was born May 1, 1938 in Garner, Iowa to Floyd and Margaret (Brade) Greiman. She married Jack T. Blank on June 26, 1955 in Garner, Iowa. He died September 4, 1994 in Dahinda, Illinois.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas (Lisa) Blank of Peoria and Jeffrey (Jill) Blank of Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters, Jolyn Blank of Tampa, Florida, and Jacqueline McCavitt of Peoria; one brother, David (Jeanettee) Greiman of Garner, Iowa; two sisters, Jan Taft and Judie Eden, both of Mason City, Iowa; ten grandchildren, Melissa, Meaghan, Jody, Jill, John, David T., Molly, Laura, Jack and David S.; and four great-grandchildren, Haley, Lilly, Jack and Whitney.
JoAnn earned her accounting degree while raising her four children. After working in local banking, she and her husband worked alongside one another in family business for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and engaging in service to the Peoria community.
She served as treasurer for the Peoria Garden Club and the Neighborhood Alliance, and was a member of the Hosta Society and University United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hawley Cemetery.
