She was born January 4, 1930 in Peoria to Homer and Phyllis Cox. She married Chuck Robison on June 11, 1949 in Peoria.
Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Chuck Robison; her children, Rob (Marsha) Robison of the Quad Cities, Cyndy (Roger) Northrop of Twin Cities, MN; her brothers Butch (Lydia) Cox of Texas, and Chuck Cox; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Joan worked many years as a dental assistant for Dr. Gerald Couri in Peoria. She later became the vice president of CBT Companies in Peoria where she later retired from.
Joan was an excellent needle point and cross stitcher. She was a member of the Stitcher’s Guild, Garden Club, Women’s Club, Red Hat Society, and a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services for Joan will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Pastor Michael Shirey will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
