Jennifer (Finch) Weber “Jenny”, 54, of Princeville, Illinois, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on March 19, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 54. Born in Peoria, Illinois, on May 30th, 1969, Jenny’s life was a testament to her unwavering devotion to her family and her courageous spirit.
Jenny’s infectious laughter and joyous demeanor were her gifts to the world. Her ability to light up a room with her presence was unmatched, and her laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Allen and Dorothy Tankersley; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Ena Finch; biological father, Gary Finch; niece, Elizabeth Van Dettum.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 35 years, Ronald Weber; mother, Robyn (Tankersley) Carlson; father, Ross Carlson; son, Patrick Weber of Colorado; daughters, Lindsey (Jeremy) Kirby of Florida, Josie (Travis) Jones of Dunlap, and Nellie Weber of Peoria Heights; granddaughters, Lucy and Susie Jones, whom she adored; brother, Chris (Tammy) Finch of Peoria; sister, Amy (Jim) Van Dettum of Princeville; and brother, Dalton Carlson of Peoria Heights. Jenny also leaves behind several cherished nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
After a valiant 2 1/2 year battle with colorectal cancer, Jenny chose to donate her body to science, leaving a legacy of hope and contributing to the betterment of future generations.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria.
A private celebration of Jenny’s life will be held by her family and close friends at a later date. In honor of Jenny’s life and her dedication to research and education, we encourage donations to Illinois CancerCare, The Colorectal Cancer Alliance or angelhairforcancer.org in lieu of flowers.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Illinois CancerCare for their unwavering care and support over the years. Additionally, they express their sincere appreciation to OSF Hospice for the recent care and comfort provided during a challenging time.
Jenny's memory will be cherished forever, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
