Janet Lee Bledsoe

Janet was born July 3, 1936 in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of Lawrence Canham & Mary Elizabeth Trickle Scott. She married Kenneth Eugene Bledsoe in Peoria on October 7, 1955. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1985 in Peoria.

She is survived by her children, Greg (Deanna) Bledsoe of Elmwood, Susan (Brad) Pestka of Onslow, IA, and Thomas Bledsoe of Brimfield; one brother, Darrell (Kaye) Scott of Sheffield; one nephew, Michael (Lana) Scott of Johnson City, TN, and one great nephew, Andrew Scott; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Nuch) Firmand, Melissa (Shannon) Winchell, Casey and Shannon Pestka, Michael, Matthew, and Julia Bledsoe; and one great-granddaughter, Genevieve Winchell-Egli.

Janet was also preceded in death by her parents, and one nephew, James Scott.

She was a tireless volunteer in the Brimfield community, serving the Brimfield Cemetery, the Brimfield town board for several terms and many other organizations. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Brimfield and the Women of the Moose in Farmington.

Janet was a caring, loving wife, mother and friend and will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 2, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria . Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate.

Burial will be in Brimfield Cemetery in Brimfield, IL.
