James "Jim" A. Sharav

James “Jim” A. Sharav, age 62, of Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at his residence. Jim was born on November 26, 1950 in Peoria, Illinois to Alexander “Al” and Gertrude Sharav. Jim is survived by his sister, Connie Sharav of Peoria; and several cousins, Kurt (Jo) Rohr of Fayette, MO, Arlene Palsen, Peter Palsen, Matt Palsen, David Palsen and Phil Palsen of Carlinville, IL. Vicki Steele of Kentucky, Jill Yaste, Mary Fambrough, Krista McClenahan and Heidi Pieper. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jim was a 1968 graduate of Dunlap High School and he graduated from Bradley University in 1973 with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. He was the Senior Project Manager for P.J. Hoerr from 1992 until retiring in 2011. Jim enjoyed the company of his friends and coworkers at P.J. Hoerr and considered them his extended family. Jim served on the Greater Peoria Contractor’s Association Board of Directors for six years. He was a member of the TriCon Labor Management Board and the State of Illinois Carpenters Pension Board. Jim loved fishing and hunting and he enjoyed going to charity events and golf outings. Cremation rites will be accorded and a visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 6pm to 8pm at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jim’s honor to the charity of the donor’s choice.
