He was born September 22, 1937, in Peoria, the son of Everett and Harriett (Early) Pugh. He married the love of his life, Grace Wilburn, on April 12, 1959, in Peoria.
She survives along with their children, Brian (Lori) Pugh, and Robin (Gordon) Leasure; grandchildren, Jessica (Aaron) Colclasure, Morgan (Anthony) Bill, Sadie Grace Pugh, and Kaylin Joy Pugh; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Donald Pugh, and Leroy Pugh; and a great-granddaughter.
Harold was retired from Caterpillar where he entered through the apprentice program right after high school and moved into management over his 40 plus years there. He was an Army veteran and member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed serving various church ministries and Habitat for Humanity. He was a gifted woodworker who made precious heirlooms for his beloved children and grandchildren and whatever the love of his life requested. He will be remembered for his gentle strength, quiet character, and great humility.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be held the evening prior from 5-7 PM, and an hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
