Gloria J Wells

She was born Oct. 31, 1931 in Peoria to Curzio and Giovanna (Drudi) Righi. She married William L. Wells Sr. in Bloomington on Oct. 9, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Surviving are her 4 children, Stephen (Pat) Wells of East Peoria, William (Carol) Wells Jr. of Peoria, Pamela (Joe) Zoril of Toulon, Tammy (Bob) East of Farmington; daughter-in-law, Darlene Hernan of East Peoria; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; brother, Raymond Righi of Pekin; 2 sisters, Rose Goodwin of Peoria, Julie Dempsey of Conroe, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

She worked at Armour Packing for 16 years before they moved and later at ITT Continental Baking for 7 years, retiring in 1977. She volunteered at St. Jude Knights of Columbus for many years helping with whatever needed to be done. She was an animal lover, especially her pets, Baby and Kit Kat.

Gloria was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Peoria where Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 with Fr. Terry Cassidy officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday morning at Church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
