Geraldine "Jerre" Ann LaBarr

She was born on September 29, 1925 in Peoria to John C and Emma (Huber) Barth. She married Robert T. LaBarr on August 16, 1946, they were married 56 years before his passing in 2002.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, and siblings, Clara Engrissei, John W. Barth, Mary Catherine Fonner, Margaret Zaremba, Josephine Barth, Robert Barth.

Surviving are her children, Janice Sue (John) Havel of Jacksonville, Betty Lou (Bill) Schmidt of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Thomas W. LaBarr; grandchildren, Maggie and Doak LaBarr, Bill and Blaine Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Hollan Schmidt.

Jerre worked as a dental assistant/ receptionist for 23 years until she retired. Up until 2020, she was very active and lived in her home of 59 years.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to travel and play with children. Jerre cherished her immediate family and her surviving nieces and nephews.

Jerre loved to dance. She was the first president of AMVETS of Peoria. She was a girl scout leader.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 10 a.m., at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Father Daniel Dionesotes will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorials made be made in Jerre's name to Compassus Hospice, Peoria or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
