He was born July 12, 1941 in Peoria to John and Lucille (Miller) Burdett who preceded him in death. He married Dixie Adkins Sipes on March 26, 2004 in Monterey, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Todd (Sarah) Burdett of St. Louis, MO and Timothy (Deanna) Burdett of Peoria, AZ; four step-children, Gordon (Julie) Sipes of Canton, Tammy (Kurt) Ramp of Yates City, Terri Sipes of Havana, IL and Tina (Robert) Niederman of Woodbridge, VA; five grandchildren, Haley, Savanah, Riley, Natalie and Lexi; eight step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; six siblings, Corilee Weishaar of Pekin, John (Becky) Burdett of Dunalp, Mary (Paul) Whittaker of Princeville, Kerry (Tonda) Burdett of Peoria, Susan Brown of Peoria and Holly (Mike) Tyra of Belleville and many nieces and nephews.
Curt served in the U.S. Army. He worked in sales most of his life, last working at Sears in Peoria. He was a member of South Park United Methodist Church in Canton and attended the United Methodist Church in Monterey. He was a member of Travelers Protection Association (T.P.A.) where he held many offices including past National President. Curt loved his family and friends. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan and Bradley Braves Fan.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, November 9, 2018 with visitation from 9:30 am until the start of service at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Rev. David Meader and Rev. Rebecca Gearhart will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
