PEORIA – Gary Lee Fletcher, 62, of Peoria, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on September 10, 1958 in Aurora, a son of Richard “Dick” and Janice “Jan” (Rahn) Fletcher. They survive.
Gary is also survived by his two sisters, Cindy Fletcher Gosnell of Dunlap and Cathy Fletcher of Wood Dale; nephew, Nathan Gosnell of Peoria; and special friends, Ashley and Jaxson Backes of Germantown Hills.
Gary graduated from Concordia Lutheran School and Richwoods High School where he enjoyed participating in sports and formed many life-long friendships. He spent many years working in the local automotive industry, holding various positions. He attended Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria.
Even through Gary’s recent years of medical issues, he maintained his great sense of humor and was a Gentle Man with a Big Heart for everyone in his life.
Gary’s funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Rev. Chip Winter will officiate. Gary’s visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., also on Friday at the church. Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria has been entrusted to handle the arrangements and cremation following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Care Ministry at 6801 N. Allen Road, Peoria, IL 61614.
