West Peoria – Donna Jean Baldock, 81, of West Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Peoria on September 18, 1939 to Donald D. and Mary A. (Letanofsky) Rogers. She married William E. “Ernie” Baldock on March 22, 1958 in Hernando, MS. He survives.
Also surviving are three children, Steve (Dian) Baldock of Niceville, FL, William E. (Shannon) Baldock, Jr. of Bartonville, and Dan (Tracy) Baldock of Edwards; 11 grandchildren, Nick (Louisa) Baldock, Alissa (Kelley) Cobb, Caitie (Kyle) Wood, Samantha (Chris) Coné, Brandi Baldock, Brittany (Kevin) Bott, Courtney (Nate) Mason, Lexi and Landon Baldock, and MacKenzie and Alexandra Baldock; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, Larry Rogers of Rome, GA.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Mary Ellen Guiney.
She was the co-owner/co-operator of Ernie’s Dairy Dream with her husband for many years, retiring in 1999.
Donna was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Peoria and the Elks Lodge #20 in Peoria. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was involved with Race for the Cure for many years. Donna was a 36 year breast cancer survivor.
Donna’s visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at St. Ann Catholic Church with her funeral mass to follow. Fr. Jeremy Freehill will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Elks Lodge #20.
