Donald E. Paschal, Sr. 84, of Monmouth, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Galesburg, IL. He was born November 29, 1930 in Peoria to Theodore A. and Marie H. (Ishmael) Paschal. He married Bertha Dearman on May 7, 1955 in Covington, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife and one brother. Surviving are his sons, Donald Paschal, Jr of Monmouth and Bill (Colleen) Dearman of East Peoria; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Don was an Army veteran having served in Korea and received the Purple Heart. He worked in the cooperage division at the Hiram Walker Distillery in Peoria for 25 years until 1972. He then moved to Monmouth and worked for the Warren School District 222 for 16 years before retiring in 1990. He enjoyed playing cards and woodworking. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
