Donald "Don" Neill

He was born on June 19, 1930 in Augusta, IL to Virgil and Alice (Anderson) Neill. He married Myrna Strickler on October 7, 1956 in Quincy, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Surviving are his wife Myrna of West Peoria, two children, Julie (Darrell) Davis of Peoria and Mark (Anne) Neill of Omaha, NE. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Katie Davis and Drew Neill and two sisters, Dorothy Oates of Davenport, IA and Phyllis Roate of Galesburg.

Don served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and then with the Illinois Air National Guard from 1955 until retiring in 1990 after nearly 40 years of military service. Don was a member of the Masonic Illinois Blue Lodge in Peoria, the Consistory and The United Presbyterian Church in Peoria.

A memorial service will be Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11:30 am with visitation from 10:00 am to the start of service at United Presbyterian Church in Peoria. The Rev. Stephen McKinney-Whitaker will officiate. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Cremation will be accorded and a burial of the urn will be at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens at a later date.
