David Lee Walker

He was born on January 29, 1953 in Peoria, IL to Thomas and Maudell (Tiggs) Walker, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his infant son, and three siblings, Diane Hobbs, Rescher Whitt, and Paul Walker.

Surviving are his three children, Inez Walker, Ivy Alexander, and Isaiah Walker; grandchildren, Iasia Lavaris Walker, Isaiah Levar Walker Jr., Izavair Laflair Walker, Inyja Lanita Walker, Inivea Lanita Walker, Nathaniel David Collins, and Noah Devon Collins; and great-grandchild, Baby Sevin. Also surviving are his three siblings, Tressie Walker, Danny Walker and Shelia Walker; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

David was a beloved entrepreneur and businessman. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and listening to Jazz Music. David was a freelance barber and a gifted tailor.

A memorial service will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Unity House of Prayer, 815 NE Perry Ave. Peoria, IL 61603. A repast will immediately follow the services at the church.
