He was born February 21, 1944 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to David D. and Helen E. (Fisher) Beach, Jr. He first married Mary Lee and she preceded him in death. He then married Karen Crusen Boland on August 8, 2008 in Dunlap, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Bryan (Meredith) Boland and Melissa (Matthew) Shane all of Dunlap, Jeanette (Sam) Scott of Cincinnati, OH, Ben Lee of Atlanta, GA and Katie Lee of Seattle, WA; and nine grandchildren.
David earned a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in 1966 and then served 10 years, from 1966 to 1976, in the US Army, serving in Vietnam, attaining the rank of Captain.
He was a Finance Manager at Aventine Renewable Energy in Pekin for many years.
David was a member of the Mystic Seaport, Wounded Warriors Project, Chicago Art Institute and Chicago Lyric Opera.
Cremation will be accorded by Davison-Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Home, Peoria. Private family memorial services are planned. Inurnment on his family plot at Branford Cemetery in Connecticut is planned for the future.
