He was born Feb. 6, 1953 in Chicago to George and Lorraine (Vanis) Jedlicka. He married Nancy (Bixler) Boise on Aug. 6, 1983 in Bloomington. She survives along with his mother of Palos Heights, IL, one son, Damion (Jessica) Jedlicka of Virginia, two grandchildren: Anna and Jack Jedlicka of Virginia, one step-daughter, Jamie Boise of Ohio, one brother, David (Kandy) Jedlicka of Arkansas, two sisters: Debbie Hladilek of Wheaton, Dianne (John) Jedlicka-Kriz of Frankfort, IL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Daniel was an Engineer at Caterpillar, Inc. for 39 years retiring Jan. 1, 2016. While at Caterpillar, Daniel worked in the motor grader transmission division and was responsible of at least two inventions and many patents.
Daniel also enjoyed being a private pilot.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria.
