Charles Jay Meyers III

Charles Jay Meyers passed away on September 27, 2017 at age 60. Jay was a life-long resident of Peoria, having been born to Charles Meyers, Jr. and Geraldine M. Meyers on December 16, 1956. Jay was a magna cum laude graduate from Bradley University. Jay is most famously known for his distinctive “ROAR” during sporting events and for being the Super Fan to the Bradley Braves, Peoria Central Lions and Richwoods Knights. Jay received a paralegal degree from Bradley University and worked at the law firm of Williams, Williams & Bembenek for 27 years. He retired in 2016. His favorite hobby was collecting stuffed bears. He was a life time member of United Presbyterian Church. Jay, the super lion of Central High, was generous to many people and will be missed dearly by his friends. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
