Mr. Carrol Gould

Carrol Gould age 86 of Peoria, IL. passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Heartland Healthcare Center in Peoria, IL. Born April 1st, 1924 to Archie and Jessie (Townes) Gould. He Married Pauline McCoy June 30, 1946. She preceded him in Death.

He was also preceded in Death by his Daughter Teresa Ward, 3 sisters and 2 brothers

Surviving are 1 Son Cary(Gina) Gould, his Grandchildren; Josh Chiaravalle, Kacie Becker, Kari Mohrman, Jenny Atterberg, Stephanie Ward, Nicki Ward, Taylor Gould, Cameron Gould, Delanie Gould and Several Nieces and Nephews.

He Served in the Navy from 1943-1946 as a StoreKeeper 2nd Class aboard the USS Amycus in the south Pacific During WWII. He received the Victory Medal, American Area Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and 2 Stars.

He worked for Illinois Bell for 29 years. He was a member of the VFW Peoria Heights and Amvets Post 64

He loved fishing, Watching Cubs and Bear Games. He always had fond memories of Traveling with his nieces and nephews. One of his prized memories will be his Hole in One at Pine lakes golf Course on June 13, 1982.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 25th, 2010 at 11am at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, Peoria, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
