Carole L. Riggins Diemer

She was born on December 17, 1938 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Earl & Louise Eager Riggins.. She married Donald Diemer on April 28, 1962. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2007 in Peoria.

She is survived by two sons, Greg (Dana) Diemer of Carrollton, TX, and Jeff Diemer of Peoria; two grandsons, Jason Diemer of Carrollton, TX and Aaron Diemer of Peoria;.one brother, David (Pam) Riggins, of Indianapolis, IN; one niece, Tammy Wente, and one nephew Brad Riggins both of Indianapolis.

Carole was also preceded in death by her parents, and one nephew, Chad Riggins.

Carole was a 1956 Peoria High graduate. She held several full and part time jobs in the Peoria area. After marriage in 1962 she was primarily a homemaker. She was involved with the University of Illinois Home Extension, where she helped write and assemble cookbooks. She loved to knit and bake. She started a cake decorating business, "Cakes by Carole" at her home creating beautiful wedding and birthday cakes.

Carole was a loving mother and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Funeral service will be on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Rev. Chip Roland will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services also at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
