Carol Joanne Burch, 82, of East Peoria, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 at UnityPoint Health - Methodist in Peoria. She was born on February 22, 1940 in Peoria, a daughter of Harvey E. and Lillian L. (Palmer) Slechta. Carol married Allan Dean Burch on May 4, 1963 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1994 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Betty Baird.
Carol is survived by her son, Greg (Heather Craig) Burch of Bayview Gardens; and her granddaughter, Taylor (Nicholas Runyon) Burch of Bartonville.
She worked in the corporate office of OSF St. Francis Medical Center for 40 years, retiring in 2007.
Carol loved to read, go shopping, and especially spending time with her family.
Carol's funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Her visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am also on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Burial will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
