Brandi was born on October 15th, 1982 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois. She is the daughter of Jo Anne and Jeff Dykeman. The two loving parents raised their only child in the small village of Williamsfield, Illinois. Brandi passed away at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center on August 20th, 2023 alongside close family.
Brandi is survived by her husband, Donnie Ray Tillman Jr., their three children, Tayen Anne Tillman, Makaelyn Brielle Tillman, and Donnie Ray Tillman III (Trey). Mother, Jo Anne Dykeman, grandparents Norma and Roger Dykeman; as well as countless aunts, uncles and cousins. Also, included on that list, her dogs Jackson and Loki.
She is preceded in death by her father Jeffery S. Dykeman and two maternal grandfathers Gordon Mundy and Merle Kluthe.
Brandi will be remembered for simply being herself. A girl from a small town that was full of compassion and yet, no limits of intelligence. She spent 17 years at CEFCU (Citizens Equity First Credit Union), living up to the company’s motto of being “better”. Brandi loved animals, owning a number of different pets and breeds throughout her time on Earth. She also enjoyed traveling, although friends and family will tell you that getting there was an adventure in itself. Brandi developed a passion for sports at an early age. She got involved in acrobats, later adding volleyball, track, and softball to her resume; eventually earning a spot on the track at the State Finals during her junior high years. As the leaves would turn, so would Brandi’s attention to football, she could always be found cheering on her beloved Chicago Bears during the NFL season.
A visitation for the public will be held at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 W. Willow Knolls Drive, Peoria, IL on Friday, September 1st, 2023. Brandi will be laid to rest during a private funeral service for family and friends Saturday, September 2nd, 2023, at Resurrection Mausoleum located at 7519 N. Allen Road, Peoria, IL.
She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. The family requests all donations be made at gofund.me/36467643.
