Billie loved her savior Jesus Christ, her comfort and strength through years of physical pain and family illness. A woman of great faith and deep intimacy with God, she could often be heard praying aloud in her room – speaking with her friend and savior, confident in His real presence.
Billie was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Chapter R and of Mt. Hawley Country Club. She was a past president and board member of Brimfield Bank and a tireless volunteer for St. Jude Midwest Affiliate. She was also possessed of special aesthetic intelligence, a gifted designer who helped build the family home and constructed stylish clothing for herself and her children. She will be fondly remembered for the tens of thousands of cookies she made for friends and the St. Jude runners. She was a loyal friend, and her greatest joy was caring for her family and others as Jesus cared for her.
