B. Mark Kenney Jr.

Mark was born in Gary, Indiana on February 19, 1945 to Byrl M. and Alice E. Kenney. He married Ruth Ann Ball on October 20, 1973 in Peoria.Mark attended Northern Illinois University, where he graduated in January, 1968 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He joined Caterpillar immediately after graduation, starting in Caterpillar’s Finance Management training program. Mark held a wide range of finance related positions during his career with Cat, including a three year assignment with Caterpillar’s subsidiary in Sao Paulo Brazil. He retired in 2007 after 39 years with the company.Mark is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann of Peoria, sister Ruth (Stuart) Noll, nephew, Scott (Jane) Noll, and niece Jennifer Noll, all of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Mark had many interests, including golf, boating, photography, exercising and spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed participating in the Peoria Sandtrappers Golf League and walking and drinking coffee at the mall with fellow retirees. He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks.Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 West Willow Knolls Drive in Peoria with the Rev. Richard Wehrs officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Memorials are suggested to the Illinois Cancer Center Foundation.
