Ashley Bryce Wilson was born on May 27, 1955 in Franklin Louisiana to the late Harry Wilson, Sr. and the late Rose McCoy Wilson. He was the youngest of three children. He was baptized at Asbury Methodist Church at an early age. He attended school in Franklin Louisiana and graduated from Franklin Senior High School. He then attended University of Louisiana in Lafayette. After college he enlisted into the U.S. Armed Forces. While on his job assignment Ashley met and married the love of his life
Victoria Henry and moved to Peoria, IL. He joined the staff of Greater Peoria Mass Transit District/City Link, where he became a supervisor. He united with the Church of the Living God, LBLC under the leadership of Bishop Shelby Hines, Jr. Ashley was a great example of the 2nd Commandment: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. He always had a good word or act of kindness for his family, friends and co-workers. Ashley was an avid SAINTS fan. Ashley departed this life into eternal rest on Monday, March 26th with his loving devoted wife Vicky and special cousin Arthur Lee by his bed side. Ashley leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Victoria (Henry) Wilson, Dendalyn (Denny) Madison of Arlington TX, Asherea Wilson of Houston TX, children he assisted in raising Johara (Jody) Sasser of Houston TX, Joseph Proctor of Chicago, IL and Jacobie Proctor of Peoria, IL. Thirteen brothers and sisters; Clementine Wilson of Peoria, IL, Patrick Jackson (Stephanie) of Cade, LA, Jowanda Wilson of Franklin,, LA, Gary Wilson (Mona) of Lafayette, LA, Harriet Maze of Franklin, LA, Michael Lewis (Michelle) of Alabama, Rene DePass (Herman) of Ft. Worth TX, Bryant Jackson (Allegra) of Humble, TX, Rebecca Smith of Houston, TX Adrienne Wilson of Conroe, TX, Ida Collier (Todd) of Houston TX, Janel
Jackson of Broken Arrow, OK. He also leaves a legacy of 12 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and relatives and friends. Ashley was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Harry
Wilson, Jr. and one son whom he raised Chadwick (Chad) Parker
A visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. to 11:00a.m. on Friday March 30 2018 at Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel.
A funeral service will follow starting at 11:00 a.m. at Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel.
Burial will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
