Angela M. Louis

Angela was born December 9, 1941 to Mathias and Marie (Kapraun) Louis. She was raised in Woodford County and attended school in Minonk. Her parents preceded her in death along with one nephew; David Alaksiewicz.

She is survived by two sisters; Margaret Louis of Henderson, NV, Carolyn Alaksiewicz of Peoria, and four nephews; Matthew, John, Mark, and Michael Alaksiewicz.

Angela was a hair stylist for over 50 years, working last at Miguel’s in Peoria. She volunteered as a chef for 10 years with the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run. She was also a member of Peoria Ski Club, German-American Club, Race For The Cure Peoria, Las Vegas and Frankfurt, Germany. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Peoria, where she also sang in the choir.

A Funeral Mass for Angela will be held at 10 AM on Saturday April 12, 2014 at Holy Family Church in Peoria, Il. Franciscan Friars will officiate the mass. Visitation will be held Friday April 11, 2014 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria from 5 – 7 PM, and also a half hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, in Benson, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Angela may be made to St. Jude Runs.
