Alvin L. Veatch

He was born Jan. 19, 1941 in Peoria to William and Clara (Luthy) Veatch. He married Valerie Pittman Nov. 20, 1982 in Washington, IL. She survives along with one daughter, Becky Leal of Swan Creek, IL, three sons: Bryan (Angie) Veatch of Prophetstown, Rusty Pittman of Morton, Ben Veatch of Peoria, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, Mel (Linda) Veatch of Peoria Heights, and three sisters: Dot Cary of East Peoria, Jan (Bill) Bloom of East Peoria, and Bev (Art) Boswell of Ravensdale, Washington.

Alvin was a Pre-Press Technician for Peoria Engraving and C and H Printing Co. in Peoria for 40 years retiring in 2006.

He was a member and very active in the Sunnyland Christian Church. Alvin was an avid blood donor and was very proud that he donated over 20 gallons.

Visitation will be Monday June 25, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 26, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Sunnyland Christian Church.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center or to his church.
