Mary was born in China on October 17, 1939 to Chu-Mu Yuh and Chi-Tie Yuh. She married Yung Keith Chiang on August 31, 1965. Mary moved to Pensacola’s Azalea Trace in January 2020 after living 50+ years in Chatham, Illinois. Before retiring, she held several different jobs including keypunch operator, restaurant hostess/waitress, and restaurant owner.
After retirement, Mary and her family enjoyed travel and “saw the world” during the 20+ cruises over the years. She was also widely-recognized by her family and friends as an excellent cook of both Chinese and American dishes. She also loved to play mahjong, dine out at restaurants, tend her garden and most of all, spend time with her family and friends.
Preceding Mary in death are her parents, one sister (Mickey Sarin), and her husband, Yung Keith Chiang.
Mary will be greatly missed by her son, Robert Chiang; brother, William Yuh (Nina Mayr); and sisters, Grace Tang (Steve) and Angel Williamson (Mike). She was also a beloved Aunt to several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held in Pensacola on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded after the ceremony. Her inurnment will be in Chatham, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
