Beloved son, world traveler, adventurer, and rock star (Indy 500, boxing), Will Seale was killed in a skydiving accident at one of his best friend’s wedding on Thursday, September 15, 2022 in Crete, Nebraska at the age of 34. He loved the outdoors – water, sun and snow and spent many winters snowboarding and teaching others how to ski. His other great love was children; and he was so excited about starting a family with Abby, his one true love and being TJ’s godfather.
Will was born in Pozzuoli, Italy and lived the majority of his life in northern Virginia. Recently he moved with his family to Florida. He and his fiancé were planning on buying a farm together in Pensacola the week before he died. The farm, Hidden Leaf was the start of a new life with his dog, Buddy, his fiancé, Abby, her dog Vulpix, or better known as Big Chicken, and six new little black copper maran chicks.
William attended Lake Braddock High School in Burke, VA, and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in English. While at VCU, he was recognized for his command of the Italian language by delivering an appreciation speech to the mayor of Fondi – language skills developed not by class, but by spending hours at the local café drinking espresso and meeting new Italian friends – friends he has kept up with to this day. He loved creative writing and was working on publishing a book, which family and friends will finish. After graduation he helped design and write website content for a cybersecurity nonprofit.
He worked at Kids First Swim school, where he’d often show up dressed as spider man to make all the kids laugh and enjoy swimming under his safe care. Deciding he wanted to work remotely so he could adventure the world more, he worked in IT sales for Cogent Communications before deciding to transition into RPA (robotic process automation) because he always wanted to be able to provide more value at work. He studied and passed a difficult developer exam on his very first try (not an easy feat) and won the career he desired working as an RPA consultant at Reveal Group. There he helped automate processes that made the world run easier and freed people from monotonous work.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Benjamin Phillip and Anne Crolly Ritzert, of Savannah, Georgia, and Freeman Lamar and Catherine Gaston Seale, of Pensacola, FL.
His parents, Donnie Gaston Seale and Mary Ellen Seale live in Pensacola, FL. His two brothers Phillip Seale of Pensacola, FL and Brandon Seale of Wilmington, NC are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of the most kind, fun loving and outgoing brother, that seemed to be able to tackle any challenge at ease.
He has numerous aunts and uncles, Jamie and Gabriella Seale, Alexandria, VA and Benjamin Phillip Ritzert, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, John Ritzert, Danny Ritzert, Barbara Harbeck and Kathleen Ritzert of Savannah, GA. He has numerous cousins of this large family, Catherine Seale, Jeremy, Trey and Chris Ritzert, Michael, Stephen and Jake Harbeck, Blair and Reilly Ritzert, Aidan and Avery Ritzert.
Will traveled the world before he decided to settle down with the love of his life, Abby McClain. His adventures included Thailand, Japan, Europe, Holland and Italy.
Friends from all over the world have reached out to his family and to express the impact his positive, thoughtful and loving spirit had on their lives…and that his life would remain with them forever. They joked he never had to make plans, he would just call and say he wanted to spend the day with them, just being present and having fun. He was often running late, because he just had to call or text a friend before he left, but he finally learned how to be on time. His closest friends said once you were his friend, you were a friend for life. And Will was everyone’s best friend.
