William Houston

A loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who passed peacefully on March 20, 2025.

Born on April 16,1942 in Pensacola, FL. William (Bill) Houston was a man of integrity and a true inspiration to all who new him.

Our family is so proud and very thankful for his service he gave to our country. Sgt. William Houston United States Marine Corps 1963-1967.

He dedicated his life to his family, his work at NAS until he retired, his community, he was always putting others before himself, he spent 10 years and countless hours coaching his son’s baseball and football teams and he instilled in his children the importance of hard work, kindness and perseverance, values that will continue to guide their lives.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life of 36 years Mary Helen Houston, Loving Parents William and Louverne Houston, Loving In-laws Florentino and Micaela Saiz, his son John Saiz, his daughter Sandra Mena.

He is survived by his Son Chris Houston (Janie), two daughters Ramona Mills, Michelle McGahan (Mike), Daughter in Law Mille Saiz. Two Sisters Patsy Cole and Sandra Wiggins. Grandchildren Ashley Waltz (Mike), Brianna Eck (Jonathan), Josh Mills, Zachary Mills (Cam), Brittany Houston, Chrissa Houston, Clayton McGahan, Jessica Saiz, Jody Saiz, Daniel Saiz. Many Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his Grandchildren.

A visitation for William will be held Tuesday, March 25,2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508.

Our Sincere appreciation goes out to Life Care Center for all the love and care you gave our dad through the years. The wonderful loving staff at Hospice care at West Florida Hospital. In Lieu of flowers, Donate to your favorite charity – a few of Bill’s causes were American Diabetes Association and St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
