William Francis Dunson

1924-2017

William Francis Dunson, 92, born in Wetumpka, Alabama to George and Sallie Dunson, passed away at his home in Pensacola on Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Elsie Aileen Barker Dunson, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his son Larry F. Dunson ; daughters Donna D. (Olen) Beasley and Peggy D. (Greg) Worley; grandchildren: Jason Worley, Zack (Jessica) Worley, Christopher (Karen) Dunson, Jonathan and Josh Dunson, Mark (Mary) Beasley, Tina (Matt) Calma and Rita Birchett; great-grandchildren: Ethan and Griffin Worley, Christian, Kaleb and Addilynn Dunson, Daniel Baker, Amy Pearson, Morgan Birchett, Brooke Howard, Brittany and Braden Calma and eight great, great-grandchildren. Mr. Dunson served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was a long-time member of Mary Esther United Methodist Church in Mary Esther, Florida and had been active in Civitans in Birmingham, Alabama and in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Saturday, the 1st of April, 2017 the Chapel of Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home in Pensacola, where Pastor Steve Winton will officiate.
