1925--2011
Walter L. Colburn, 86, of Lillian, AL passed away on March 4, 2011. Walter was raised in Massachusetts and went on to career in the Army; serving faithfully and honorably in Europe, N. Korea and then stateside before retiring as a Warrent Officer after 22 years.
Additionally, Walt retired from Raytheon and Vitro Corp. He and his wife, Patricia, raised six children and have six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
“Poppa” will always be fondly remembered for his quick wit and corny jokes.
Viewing will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, 32506. Graveside service will be held at 1:15 P.M. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola.
