Victor Davis, age 90, passed away on October 8, 2014. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he met Juanita Reeves, from Pensacola, and they were married in 1949. After a visit to Pensacola and loving our weather (no snow) they moved to Pensacola in 1954. He worked and retired from NADEP at the U.S. Naval Air Station. He also worked for many years at Pensacola Greyhound Park.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Juanita (Nita), children & spouses: William (Bill) & Cherri Davis, Ronald (Ronnie) & Lynne Davis, and Kathy & Zane Smith. He is also survived by grandsons: Sean Davis, Kevin Davis and Alyn Davis; granddaughters: LeAnne Davis, Jana Davis and Felisha Wilcox. He is also survived by seven great-granddaughters: Kayla, Ashley, Jasmine, Alexis, Ariah, Jadah and Raynah.
Vic served in the Army in World War II. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid bowler. He and Nita bowled on many leagues over the years at Circle Bowling Lanes.
Funeral services will be on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens on 9 Mile Road. Visitation will be from 11-12 a.m. Service will be at 12 p.m., with burial at Barrancas at 2.p.m.
