Thelma was baptized as a teenager at Church of Christ. She retired as a bookkeeper with Chemstrand following twenty-five years of dedicated employment.
Thelma had a love for all animals from her Siamese cat acting as her personal guard cat, a Rottweiler named Chopper, and her horse Snapper. She had such a love for animals fostering was never an option for she couldn’t help but make them part of the family. She would feed the deer welcoming herds of them; each one was given and called by name.
Thelma enjoyed watching her ducks and geese swim in the pond as Thelma would spend countless hours fishing. She absolutely loved the outdoors, the pond on her property would bring her much pleasure and entertainment throughout the years.
Thelma would travel out west to places such as Arizona, Mexico, and at times she would visit the mountains. Thelma loved visiting the Navajo Indian Reservations in the area and seeking out the unique handmade jewelry. She had many turquoise pieces. Thelma would collect rocks during many of her travels and took great pride in polishing them down to gorgeous works of art. She loved things that sparkled such as her geodes, jewelry and Swarovski crystal. Thelma liked collecting pieces of Swarovski crystal.
Thelma would spend countless hours in her yard/gardens. She would keep them so immaculate; they always look like works of art and kept the appearance of beautiful garden parks. Thelma enjoyed crafting, sewing, knitting, making jewelry, and arranging flowers. She loved listening to old/real country music such as Chet Atkins, Hank Williams, Sr., and Earnest Tubb. Thelma had an attraction to purses in her later years.
Thelma will be remembered for her fun-loving and caring mannerisms. She will be greatly missed by all she leaves behind.
