Stephanie Michele Miller

A loving wife, mother, and nana, Stephanie is survived by Darren Paul Miller, her husband of 28 years; son, Cody; grandsons, Garrett and Kingston; mother, Diann Chisenhall; sister, Cheryl and Lawayne Burt; brother, David and Elaine Chisenhall Jr; and many, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and outlaws.

Stephanie grew up in a military family and spent most of her childhood traveling the world, including living in the Philippines, England, and Italy. As an adult Stephanie lived in Saudi Arabia for a time, ran an Emu farm, and eventually settled in Lillian, Alabama where she owned and operated a video store. Stephanie was a free spirit who brought life and sparkle to everyone. She was a Beatles aficionado and a serious, music lover of all genres. She loved to travel and especially loved the beach. Her family was most important in her life and she would light up speaking of her son and grandsons antics and accomplishments. Always a talker, she never backed down from a good debate or sing-a-long.

A celebration of her life will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on September 29 at 2 p.m.
