Shirley L. Gray, age 93, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Shirley was born March 5, 1929 in Hammond, Indiana to Arthur L. Main and Georgia Mae Oliver.

She moved to Pensacola from Fort Myers, Florida in 1999. Shirley was a member of the Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority, and she enjoyed reading, dancing, traveling, and doing volunteer work. She was a long time member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur L. Main and Georgia Mae Oliver; husband, Herman E. Gray; and brother, Arthur L. Main, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Kevin C. Biter (Alice); daughter, Cheryl A. Cavanaugh (Dan); sister, Ann L. Baker (age 101); grandchildren, Erica, Amanda, Sarah, and Katherine; great grandchildren, Katrina, Christopher, Abby; and several extended family and friends.

A visitation for Shirley will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 9301 Gulf Beach Highway, Pensacola, FL 32507.
