Ruby Patricia Fulps Pettijohn, 85, born November 15, 1935 in Lockhart, Texas, to Abraham Lincoln and Stella Mae Ballard Fulps. She was called home February 11, 2021 from complications of Alzheimer’s. Ruby was crowned Miss Lockhart 1957. She owned her own Singer Sewing Machine Store for over twenty years in Pensacola. Ruby routinely traveled the world with friends and family. She was involved in several ladies clubs like Ono Ladies Club, Red Hat Society, and Grand Point Ladies as well as Meals on Wheels with Gulf United Methodist Church. Ruby was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. FOREVER LOVED
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband; Maurice James Pettijohn, sister; Helen Edwards and husband Eddie Edwards, mother and father-in-law; Marie and Lee Roy Bracewell, mother; Stella Fulps, parents; Abraham Lincoln and Cleo Fulps.
Left to cherish Ruby’s memories will be her three beloved sons: David Pettijohn and wife Kristin, Peter Pettijohn and wife Christa, and Jimmy Pettijohn and wife Zabrina, a cousin; Gayla, four grandsons: Joshua, William, Jacob, Aston, one step-granddaughter; Aimee along with extended family members and a number of wonderful friends.
Celebration of Life services for Ruby Patricia Fulps Pettijohn will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, February 22, 2021 in the Chapel of Bayview Fisher-Pou. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Bayview Memorial Park.
Honoring Ruby as pallbearers will be David Pettijohn, Joshua Pettijohn, William Pettijohn, Peter Pettijohn, Jacob Pettijohn, Ashton Pettijohn and Jimmy Pettijohn.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Ruby Patricia Fulps Pettijohn to Alzheimer’s Association ALZ.ORG.
