She was born in Seattle, Washington, on December 1, 1949, to Robert L. Savage, Jr., and Julia A. Scoggins (née Germany) and grew up in Pensacola.
As a young girl, Robyn enjoyed spending time with best friend Blair Stephenson at the Pen Theatre on East Cervantes, a popular movie house owned by her maternal grandparents, Georgia and Oscar Germany.
Robyn graduated from Pensacola High School in 1967 and received a bachelor of fine arts in art education from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1970. On Easter Sunday, 1968, at the Old Fire House Drive-In on East Gregory Street, Robyn met Donald S. Brantley, a fellow PHS and USM graduate with a bachelor of science in geology.
On September 3, 1970, Don and Robyn exchanged vows at the First Presbyterian Church in Pensacola, followed by a reception at the Driftwood Restaurant. They lived in the Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area where Robyn was a devoted wife and mother, decorator, and community volunteer, and Don worked as a builder/developer. She enjoyed horseback riding, scuba diving, sailing, and Taekwondo. Both Robyn and Don were longtime members of Pinewoods Presbyterian, Olive Baptist, and Calvary Chapel where they led small groups and Bible studies. After retirement, they enjoyed antiquing, motorhoming, and traveling around Europe with Don's sister, Lynn, and her husband, Don McDowell.
Robyn will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 52 years; her three daughters: Elisha Muldoon (Jonathan), Carolyn Savoldy (Louis), and Sharyl Chong (Bill); her six grandchildren: Scott, Hannah, Brandon, Chaelyn, Kian, and Ailia; her two sisters: Julie Lea (Doug) and Sandra Skillman; and many more beloved friends and family.
A private service was held on November 7, 2022, at Bayview Memorial Park.
