Robert Delano Voyles

Bob served 20 years in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1970. He took up lobstering the New England waters until he moved his family to Pensacola in August of 1981 from Mystic CT. He finished out his career as commercial fisherman for snapper. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, buying and flipping houses, and working on automobiles. He was also a self-taught computer geek.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Arthur Voyles, Eleanor May Underhill Voyles; son, Richard Voyles; and brothers, Roy Voyles, and Donald Voyles.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Marlene Voyles; sons, Robert Voyles, Michael Voyles, Curtis Voyles, Patrick Voyles, John Kevin Voyles, Kenneth Voyles; daughters, Connie Mills, Brenda Hardin, Christine Porter, Donna Sneddon; brother, James Voyles; sisters, Janice Voyles, Margaret Johnson; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Robert will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am. A reception will immediately follow.
