Robert G Garner Sr, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather (as well as many other titles to include: friend, son, brother, and brother-in-law) passed away on November 1, 2023 in Pensacola, Florida. He was born to loving parents, Robert and Eunice Garner, on January 21st, 1955 in Pensacola Florida.
Robert had many interests and hobbies including cooking some of the best fried fish around, surfing, metal detecting, and simply spending time with the ones he so dearly loved. He was nearly a pro level surfer, and his friends and family enjoyed watching him in the ocean as he proudly tore through the water as if it was an extension of him. He always knew where to find the good seafood restaurants and loved simply being at the beach with his beautiful wife, Marcia. He was full of joy and laughter, a fierce protector of his friends and family, a great listener, and always gave sound advice. Robert held several careers in his lifetime including a Longshoreman, a Heavy Equipment Operator, and a Bar Manager and he made many great friends throughout these years.
Robert is survived by his beautiful and caring wife of 37 years, Marcia; his sons, Storm, Bryan, and Robert Jr; his grandchildren and great grandchild; and many other family members and friends that will miss him terribly.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 7th at 10am followed by a service at 11am at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Please join us in remembering and honoring the life of Robert Garner.
