Rhonda Kay Phillips, age 60, of Pensacola, was born 12/30/1960 in Williamson, WV, gained her wings on August 11, 2021. Our Father released Rhonda's spirit from the suffering of a long-term illness, and she's probably riding a Harley in Heaven, getting the grand tour. She was excited to reunite with family and friends that have gone before her.
Her survivors are long-term partner, Deb Allison, two step-sisters, Patricia Lane Spivey of Jacksonville, and Karen Lane Loop of Orlando. Rhonda leaves behind a son, Kallen, daughter-in-law April and three beautiful grandchildren who are her world. Haeden, "Jellybean" age 10, Emily, "Peanut" age 5, and Kallen Andrew, "Little Man" age 2. They are her pride and joy. Rhonda also raised her nephew, her second son, Danny "Turtle" Phillips, wife Melissa, and daughter Madelyn.
Rhonda was blessed with many close friends during her life. She was always the first to reach out to others in need, no matter if she knew them or not. Our community will miss her generous and kind nature. A perfectionist in her work, Rhonda would go above and beyond in her career in the medical field and later in life when she owned her landscaping service.
Rhonda would like to thank the Team of Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center for their loving care and friendship during her five years of treatment. She would also like to thank the staff of Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Center and Covenant Hospice for her recent medical care.
Rhonda loved life and would not want you to mourn her passing. She requested you celebrate her life with a beverage of your choice lifted in her honor.
Instead of flowers, she requested a donation to the charity of your choosing in her memory.
Rhonda's life will be celebrated at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday August 28, 2021, at 9am, for the viewing. Funeral services will be performed on Saturday August 28, 2021, at 10am, with interment following at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
