Rebecca "Becky" Davis Goneke

Rebecca Davis “Becky” Goneke, age 61, of Pensacola, FL, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 12, 1954 in Opp, AL to Luther Calvin Davis and Bernice Louise Morrow Davis.

Becky was a member of East Brent Baptist Church. She worked in customer service at Grocery Advantage where work was not a job, but visiting with people was what she really enjoyed. She loved mystery novels, her beloved cats and dogs. Her greatest love was her family, her grandchildren being the sunshine of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 41 years, Lewis Fredrick “Freddy” Goneke; her son, Shane (Amanda) Goneke; her daughter Shannon Casey; her grandchildren, Austin, Jayde and Gaven Goneke, all of Pensacola, FL; her brother, Sam (Sherry) Davis; her sister, Gwen (Marc) Grimes, all of Walnut Hill, FL; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Bill Menges of Pensacola, FL; a special aunt, Francine Gomillion of Pensacola, FL; special nephew Jessie Grimes; her dear friend, Billie Parriman of Robertsdale, AL; and many furbaby cats and dogs.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 4 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 PM until the service hour.
