Penny was the youngest of three daughters born to Kelly and Christine Peace. A "preemie" at birth, she was a determined free spirit, and lived her whole life in that manner. Her deep love for animals, all creatures great and small, was surpassed only by her love for her grandchildren. "Noni" passed her love for animals onto her daughter and grandchildren. Penny lived her life at the speed of light; loving and living in her own way and with heart. As with every life, there is pain and struggle. Penny's pain is now over, and she is in the merciful hands of our Lord God. Penny has joined those family members who passed before her; her father, Kelly Damon Peace, and step-father, John E. (Jack) Reed, grandfather, Thomas Franklin Peace, and grandmother, Gertie Evans.
Penny is survived by her daughter, Jade Y. Poplin, and her heart--grandchildren, Avery Wakefield, Layla Poplin, and Solomon Poplin; her beloved mother, Christine E. Reed, sisters, Vickie Y. Peace and Jackie P. Dwelle (Robin), her niece, Jaime McKinney (Mac), two nephews, Jared Dwelle and Nicholas Dwelle; great-nephews Antonio Witt and Brennan McKinney, and great-niece Isabella Witt. The family of Penny appreciates all of the love, prayers and support of friends and neighbors during this time.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from eleven o’clock in the morning until twelve o’clock noon on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. The memorial service is to be conducted directly following the visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home.
